ANDY COWAN (writer)

ANDY COWAN is an award-winning writer/producer/performer, with Cheers (multiple episodes) Seinfeld, 3rd Rock From the Sun (both staff) and numerous other comedies and talk/variety shows among his writing credits.  He began his Hollywood career as a segment producer, writer and performer on The Merv Griffin Show during the ‘80s, and interviewed hundreds of luminaries, from Orson Welles to Jerry Seinfeld.  He produced, wrote and hosted his CableACE award-winning 60 Minutes send-up, 6 Minutes, for Showtime, drawing praise from 60 Minutes’ own creator, Don Hewitt.

He’s written several feature scripts and over half a dozen original pilots (and hosted some) including several for Fox and CBS, wrote for Ellen DeGeneres’ prime time Emmy-hosting stint, has performed in comedy clubs throughout the country, jazz clubs throughout Los Angeles, and as a voiceover artist on Seinfeld, 3rd Rock, Lucas Films’ Star Wars, Dark Empire I & II audio books, Star Watch, Hollywood’s Best Film Directors, HBO Europe, and numerous other projects.  He regularly contributes humor pieces to the L.A. Times, wrote for the CBS Jack FM Radio Network from 2007-'09, and wrote over 70 comic panels in 2007-‘08 (one of which sent up Tim Russert and was featured on NBC’s Meet the Press) for King Features' Bizarro, the National Cartoonists Society three-time "Best Newspaper Cartoon Panel" and successor to Gary Larson's Far Side. 

His 2008 short comedy feature he wrote and appears in, Knocked Down, was an official selection in the 2008 San Fernando Valley International Film Festival, 2009 Show off Your Shorts Film Festival, Cut! Film Festival, ArtsFest Film Festival, and Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival – where it won for Best Comedy.   He also received five international songwriting nods for its ending song he wrote and voiced, Hitchin' on the Highway of Life.

On the development front is Opposite Andy, a comedy hybrid he is executive producing and starring in, which centers on his exploits tackling "the opposite" in his own life, the theme of an acclaimed top ten Seinfeld episode he wrote.  Profiled in Who’s Who in America, he earned his Master’s Degree in Broadcasting from Boston University and began his broadcasting career in radio and TV news in Pennsylvania.

Jeff Meyer (Director)

Jeff Meyer is an award winning director with an extensive array of credits including multiple episodes of “Coach”, “Everybody Loves Raymond”, “Still Standing”, “Yes, Dear”, and many more, as well as several commercials. He was awarded The Scott Newman Foundation Award for “The Bigger They Are...” episode of “Coach”.

He also directed Tim Conway’s best guest actor in a comedy series emmy winning performance in “The Gardner” episode of “Coach”. In addition, he directed Betty White’s best guest actress in a comedy emmy nominated performance in the “Kim’s New Nanny” episode of “Yes, Dear”. Jeff graduated from Montana State University with a degree in film & television production, and frequently returns to teach a production and directing seminar.

dannyDanny Woodburn (Bobby)

Danny Woodburn is a versatile entertainer on stage, film, television, and the comedy club circuit and has become a fixture of American television with frequent appearances on some of today’s most popular shows.

Danny is a veteran of over 100 television appearances with regular and reoccurring roles on Tracy Takes On…, Murder, She Wrote, Becker, Charmed, Baywatch, Passions. He recently guest starred on Men in Trees, other guest appearances include: Monk, Bones CSI, 8 Simple Rules Hope and Faith, Lois and Clark, Veronica’s Closet. As a series star, he was the sword-wielding, adventurer Otli of the Conan series and took on the mythical bad-boys of UPN’s, Special Unit 2. Currently, Danny is appearing on the soap, Passions.

Most notably Danny is known for Mickey Abbott, the volatile but lovable friend of Kramer’s, on NBC’s Emmy winning,history making, show Seinfeld. Since his first appearance on the show in 1994 he has gained speed as an actor and garnered respect from industry professionals. His character on Seinfeld was an important role for him, in the sense that the writing and portrayal of Mickey is positive and non-stereotypical.

On the big screen Danny has appeared in more than a dozen films working with such talents as Robin Williams, Danny Devito, Edward Norton, Harvey Firestein, Kathy Baker, Amy Brenneman, Ted Danson, Angela Lansbury, James Earl Jones,Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Kenneth Mars, Kirstie Alley, David Spade, Debra Messing, Liza Minnelli, Shirley MacClain, Teri Hatcher, Glenn Close, James Garner, and Mickey Rooney.

Jill-Michele Melean was born and raised in Miami, Florida. During her childhood, she often visited Cochabomba, Bolivia, where her father was born. She began her comedienne lifestyle in Miami, and eventually moved to Los Angeles, where she worked at the world famous Laugh Factory, Improv and Comedy Store clubs. Jill got her big break in 2002 when her first episode as a featured player on "MAD TV" aired.

Her first skit, a parody of Britney Spears' "Not A Girl" video, quickly gained her fans and a contract as a full & first Latina cast member for the coming year. After leaving, she toured with Luke Torres and Carlos Oscar on the Latinos Locos tour and had a role in the film Hunting of Man (2003), which won an ALMA award.

Jon Pirincci is an actor, standup comedian and producer who started his standup comedy career in upstate New York. He started performing in comedy clubs and colleges around the country, alongside Jay Leno, Andrew "Dice" Clay and many other prominent comedians and recording artists.

He's developed popular comedy segments for The Tonight Show, The Late Show, Comedy Central and NBC's Dateline, and has been involved with many commercials, independent feature film and TV roles. Jon was recently selected to represent Holiday Inn in a national advertising campaign, and shot a National American Express commercial with Ellen DeGeneres and Beyonce.

Dean Larit is an Actor/Stand-Up Comedian originally from Queens, NY. In 1989, armed with only ten acting classes taught by Academy Award Nominee William Hickey at HB Studios, 2 years of Stand-Up, and an Accounting Degree from The University of Maryland, he left NYC and arrived in LA .
Since then, Dean has Performed Stand-Up Comedy all around the country, and can be seen in Jamie Kennedy's new Docucomedy, "HECKLER".
He currently is recurring as Officer Davis on the long running daytime drama, "Days of Our Lives", and is also a Board Certified Doctor of Chiropractic; Practicing in Sherman Oaks Ca.

darrinDarrin Reed

Darrin Reed began his career as an actor in New York twenty years ago and has made a successful transition to producer now residing in Los Angeles. Mr. Reed has produced and directed a horror film, while  called EYES OF THE WOODS which will be October of 2009. He’s currently producing a horror film called APPETITES and just finished production on a romantic comedy called RICKY. He directed and produced at the Coronet Theater two plays, BIG AL and ZOO STORY as well as the original play version of TWELVE ANGRY MEN, in which he played Juror #7 to rave reviews.

Mr. Reed has headlined at the Ha Ha Comedy Club in Hollywood and has worked the stand-up comedy circuit in all the major clubs in New York City, such as Caroline’s and The Comic Strip. Mr. Reed’s national commercials include JACK IN THE BOX and AT&T. He played DUFFY in the movie CALLBACK which has appeared in over 12 festivals including winning best film (Idaho and Chicago) and played JESSE “THE BODY” VENTURA for a VH1 movie of the week.

Mr. Reed graduated from Suny-Plattsburgh in New York where he studied theater and business. Thereafter, he studied with Oscar winning actress Sandy Dennis at HB Studios in NYC before her unfortunate death.  In Los Angeles, he has studied with J.D. Lewis, Scott Sedita and Kimberly Jentzen.

Brooke Newton is among one of Hollywood’s rising stars. Brooke has recently been seen co-starring in the smash hit series CSI Thursday seen April 23rd . She also is in the highly anticipated new FOX series Glee created by Ryan Murphy (Executive Producer of Nip Tuck and creator of Popular), and as the new neighbor on the CBS series Gary Unmarried. Brooke’s upcoming projects include the NBC miniseries Meteor: Path of Destruction starring Christopher Lloyd and in the indie feature Little Fish, Strange Pond opposite Mathew Modine and Adam Baldwin. Brooke had a supporting role in the National Lampoons RoboDoc starring Alan Thick.

A native of Ocala Florida, Brooke knew from a young age that she wanted to be an actress. Watching movies with her father, she knew she wanted to make people feel as she felt while escaping into the world of films such as Star Wars, Edward Scissor Hands and Labyrinth. She started theater at a young age and quickly learned that she also had a passion for dancing and has since trained in all forms of dance including ballroom dancing which she credits her father for that.

Brooke was all set to move to Los Angeles after High School graduation until her aunt called upon hearing about one more dance audition. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were auditioning cheerleaders and Brooke decided to give it a shot. She became one of the youngest cheerleaders for the squad. She spent an impressive two years with the squad pushing back her move; it was an opportunity she couldn't pass up.

Two years later, with her cheerleading days behind her, and after working on an Antonio Bandares and Meg Ryan Film “My Moms New Boyfriend” where she played Meg Ryans flashback and also choreographed dances for the film she finally made the move to Los Angeles. The ever-persistent achiever, Brooke has been working consistently ever since, hoping to someday touch the lives of other children and offer them the feelings and emotions she shared and hoping she can take others into another world.

In 1998 Steve Seagren moved from the great city of Chicago where he was a standup comic,to Los Angeles where he began a new career in acting.  Since then Steve has done several films including “Semi-pro” starring Will Ferrel and “Fun with Dick and Jane” starring Jim Carrey. Steve has appeared on television shows like “The Office”, “My Name is Earl”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, “Arrested Development” and many others.
Look for him in the new season of Heroes on NBC and in the films “The Perfect Game”, “The Informant” and “Necessary Evil” all due to be released this year.

JASON FRAZIER received a 2006 Backstage West Garland Award Honorable Mention for Best Performance in a Play. His role was the snidely snarling rich kid Simon Thaddeus Mulberry-Pew, in A DR. Jeuss Christmas at Sacred Fools Theater in Hollywood.
Other Los Angeles theater credits include Cell Phone Funeral with ANT and Kristen Key of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing" at The Actor’s Playpen. He also performed with Debi Derryberry (voice of Nickelodeon’s “Jimmy Neutron”) in Mix It Up at The Geffen Playhouse. In television, Jason appeared opposite veteran Richard Riehle in Comedy Central’s “American Body Shop.”
Film credits include the independent short film The Watch, Flight of the Phoenix (stand-in for star Giovanni Ribisi) and voicing characters in the upcoming computer-animated feature film Magnum Farce. Training includes Larry Moss Studio and The Groundlings. Jason is also a proud member of SAG/AFTRA/AEA.

Joshua was born and raised in Aurora Colorado, and majored in theatre arts at Chapman University in Orange County California.  Since that time, he has performed consistently at Shakespeare Orange County, most recently playing the role of Trinculo in “The Tempest” and "Mount Joy" in “Henry V,”.

He also performed in many other venues in Los Angeles.Some of his Film/Televison credits include starring roles in two short films that were featured on the Fox show "On The Lot",  produced by Steven Speilberg.  Internet credits include “The Hoovers,” produced by Iron Sink media.  Additionally, Joshua has written several short plays that have been performed at Shakespeare Orange County.
